Things to do in Addlestone when you're poor

In the interests of frugalness (or, more correctly, frugality) I am trying to think of fun, free-ish things to do with Thomas over the half term holiday. He, of course, would be happy to be playing Warhammer Online all week (which is, technically, free-ish, seeing as how it was a gift from my ex-employer). However, I've decided that I'm going to plan a week of activities and pretend to be a proper mum who does proper mum things. You know, outdoorsy, autumnal activities: kicking leaves, flying kites, carving pumpkins, etc.

Here are my ideas so far:-
  1. Kicking leaves
  2. Flying kites
  3. Carving pumpkins
  4. Creating a Hallowe'en costume
  5. Baking cakes and cookies
  6. A day at the seaside with a big bag of 2p pieces for the slot machines (many years of change-collecting means that the 2p pieces aren't a 'cost')
  7. Digging the garden and clearing up the weeds that the council should be clearing up
  8. Washing my car (surely we can make this fun!)
Have you got anything to add? Petrol, electricity, food, etc are acceptable expenses...

Hooray for no. 6. We spent a merry hour or so on the pier at Worthing a few weeks ago with a couple of pounds worth of 2p pieces.

how about a train trip? just getting on the train stopping off somewhere different. Take some sandwiches and maybe a couple of those home made cakes with you to munch on. Don't forget to take a camera.
In fact that can be a fun thing you could incorporate into a trip or just do it nearby, but have a competition on who can take the most unusual or interesting photo of the day. Digital cameras make this more do-able but i'm sure you have got one of those.

It may be too late for these suggestions I realise
