Surely I can think of an 'Eiffel Tower' pun...?

Inspired by PT's picture post, I thought I'd give it a go. I've fiddled a bit with light and stuff before (in fact, my 'me' picture on this page includes some 'artificial' sunlight) and some arty black-and-white-ness, but I thought I'd try something a bit different.

So, here's my modest effort. I rather like it, actually, and I think I might try more of the same with some other Paris pictures for a photo montage to put on a wall of my home... Or something...

Ooh, yes, that's very nice.

I can see that hanging on a wall, just like an Athena print, only much, much cheaper.

[Unless you count the cost of the fare and hotel in Paris, of course, then Athena's got you beat hands-down in terms of value.]

very nice, not even spoiled by the typical Paris weather either.

Gotta ask, did I see you today in the Addlestone post office? Dave said he thought it was you, but I had a very rare shy moment and lost the bottle to ask.

If so hi!

Oh, it was you! I thought it was Dave, but I wasn't sure, and I'm socially inept so I didn't say anything in case I embarassed myself in front of all the old people!

Excuse me, but I thought you were supposed to be at work today? First day at a new job, working for a new boss and you're fiddling with photos and doing blogs! Well, I don't know!!!

And you were the one telling me I could do the crossword at work!

I made the photo the other day, and I posted it while I was waiting for my e-mail to archive, if you must know!

Jo you never grow out of being told off by parents. Remember it's for your own good. Oh and the other one we get is this hurts me more than it hurst you my dear. (in my case this was just before being splattered by a saucepan in the kitchen by my mother- i now look at it as character buidling :)

I was trying to listen to your conversation yesterday to get some clues. Two things I picked up on was 1) something about algebra (which impressed me greatly!) 2) mention of EA, is that your new employer or your old one? If you've changed jobs already that is great, between jobs can be such a drag.

all the best

Ha, ha! We're always children to our parents - except maybe when we're driving them somewhere, or paying for the meal in a restaurant (and not using our pocket money!).

EA was my previous and current and future employer. I'm happy to report that I have managed to find a lovely shiny new job in the same place, so no redundancy for me! Hooray!

The whole algebra conversation deserves a post of its own - watch this (that) space...

Look forward to it. Can't guarantee that i'll understand it!! (algebra)

Glad the job is more secure. I've had thoughts about coming over to EA myself. I've had offers in the past but they have always come at the wrong time. General feeling i've got from people is that they are a mixed bad with good points and bad. Let me know what you think. Good employers or not , after their pound of flesh? If you'd rather take this discussion offline let me know and i'll let you have my email address.

Did you hear the one about the man who went to a lapdance club in Paris?

....he got an Eiffel! boom boom

It was my lame attempt at an Eiffel Tower pun. Would have got better off a lolly stick.

all the best

Yes - let me have your email address, Chux, and I'd be happy to fill you in on what real life is like at EA.
